2005-2006

PP Christian

Christian Chasset was the 16th President of the Rotary Club of Wanchai. Christian is the director of a language institute. He has lived in Hong Kong since 1984. During his year the club successfully raised an unprecedented amount of over HK$ 1,000,000. Funds were raised mainly through the Film Premiere of "Memoirs of a Geisha" and the ball "Moulin Rouge". The club sponsored a mission by "Alliance For Smiles" to perform cleft lip and palate surgery on over 70 children in China and supported a variety of charitable projects, including the Harmony House, the Vocational Training Council, the Open University of Hong Kong, the Correctional Services Department, the Hong Kong Ballet Group and City Contemporary Dance Company. The club also helped the Shechen School Project led by Matthieu Ricard, the famous French Tibetan monk, to build a school in Tibet. During the year, Christian inducted four new members and signed a sister club agreement with the Rotary Club of San Francisco.

2006-2007

Joseph Chan was the 17th President of the Rotary Club of Wanchal, serving as Club President for the third time. This year he re-established the Sister Club Agreement with the Rotary Club of Pasay Silangan Philippines. During the year, the Club continued to support a variety of fruitful projects, including the Harmony House, the Vocational Training Council, the Open University of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Ballet Group, City Contemporary Dance Company, Po On Commercial Association, Wong Siu Hing Secondary School giving scholarship to two Secondary School students from grass root families to take part in a summer programme in England, the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) Hong Kong adopting a Green Fish Farm Project to maintain the ecological important fish-ponds around Mal Po and Inner Deep Bay improving the income of the pond-fish farmers whose livelyhood depends upon the resources. Last but not least working with Caritas for Water Project in Menghun Town, Menghai country and Manbangtang Primary School in Mengyang Town. During his Presidency, Joseph as inducted 4 new members to the Club.

2007-2008

David Sharpe was the 18th President of the Rotary Club of Wanchai. He has been in Hong Kong for 34David Sharpe years and is managing director of a manufacturing company. After a very successful annual ball in 2007, with David as Chairman, the Club has continued to support the Open University of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Ballet Group, the Vocational Training Council, the City Contemporary Dance Company, Harmony House, the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) & the Venerable Bhuddist Monk, Matthieu Ricard's projects in Shechen,Katmandu, Nepal. This year the Club has increased the scholarships awarded to Wong Siu Ching Secondary School in Tsuen Wan from two to three, due to generous donations from PP Rafael, Rtn Lisa and President David. A number of new projects including Watch Dog and the Nesbitt Centre are also under consideration for support in future years.

2008-2009

David Ganesh Sarju

David Ganesh Sarju was the 19th President of the Rotary Club of Wanchai, serving as Club President for the second time. David has lived in Hong Kong since 1996 and is a seasoned professional of the finance industry. David took over the presidency in September 2008 when Bonnie Brooks relocated to Canada. During the financially challenging year the Club was fortunate that it continued to support its legacy projects. During his Presidency, David inducted two new members to the club.

2009-2010

Andrew Hart was the 20th President of the Rotary Club of Wanchai.
